Current Executive Director at World Central Kitchen and former Chief Development Officer at DC Central Kitchen. Brian has worked in development and fundraising in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years. Following his lifelong passion for cooking, he changed careers and became a chef, first with his own catering business in New York City, then as sous chef for various restaurants and hotels in Alexandria, Virginia. His next step was to found DC Central Kitchen, which combined his love for nonprofits and “life changing” programs. There he was responsible for communications and development for both DC Central Kitchen and Campus Kitchens Project, managing a staff of six communications professionals and raising more than $4.5 million per year.
